 Diane Browning
Term: Feb. 1st, 2010 - July 1st, 2010
Diane Browning was unanimously elected by the Board of Trustees to fulfill the unexpired term of Mayor John Heindorf on Feb. 1st. In June there will be a special election to elect a mayor for 2010-2011.
Browning was elected for a one-year term in June of 2004 to fill the unexpired term of Mayor John Heindorf. The Mayor appointed Diane to be the Senior Advocate for the Village of North Syracuse. She was re-elected to the Board of Trustees in June 2005 and appointed Deputy Mayor in July 2005.
Browning has instituted many programs from making free cell phones available to Seniors for emergency purposes at no charge, and if necessary, instituted a Call Program to ensure that Seniors have had a restful night without any emergencies or need assistance. She also has information such as the Enhanced Star Program, Senior Partial Property Tax Exemptions, Disabled Property Tax Exemptions, Home Energy Assistance (HEAP) and many other programs available to the senior population of the Village.
Browning was also appointed a Director on the Plank Rd. Chamber of Commerce.
